Every year from May to July, female Tibetan antelopes in the Changtang National Nature Reserve on the northern Tibetan plateau enter their migration and breeding season. They gather from their scattered habitats to form flocks of thousands, migrating towards their ancestral calving grounds at the same time and along the same routes. This migration is hailed as one of the "three most spectacular migrations of hoofed animals globally."
